Iraq & Euphrates and Tigris region

Promoting regional development cooperation
WGF provides policy and technical support and advice to promote further development cooperation in the region. This process was initiated by UNDP Iraq in dialogue with senior Iraqi governmental officials, and resulted in the international conference on Iraqi waters which WGF facilitated in 2007. WGF has also been facilitating workshops on water development of the Euphrates and Tigris at the Stockholm World Water Week.
